White House tells al-Maliki: “Respect Iraq’s political process and let it go forward”
(IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday the White House called on outgoing Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, to respect Iraq’s political process, by asking him to “let it go forward.”
The White House said, in an urgent news bulletin carried by Reuters and followed by IraqiNews.com, that “al-Maliki must respect the political process and let it go forward.”
The outgoing Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki said on Wednesday that the government is continuing and will not change until Iraq’s Federal Court issues a ruling on “constitutional violations”, describing democracy as a “commodity” exported to the region and not real.
On Monday (11 August 2014) the US State Department Secretary, John Kerry, urged outgoing Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to not make troubles and political tensions.
