(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – On Sunday the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Security and Defense Hakim Zamili denied the withdrawal of Saraya al-Salam forces from its positions in western Samarra south of Tikrit.

Zamili said in a statement during a press conference in Samarra District followed by IraqiNews.com, “The news published in some media outlets regarding the withdrawal of Saraya al-Salam from its areas in western the district is baseless,” pointing out that, “Saraya al-Salam troops are deployed in the areas of al-Layen and al-Jazeera and the areas located between Salahuddin and Anbar provinces.”

“A meeting has been held between Samarra Operations Command and the local government in the district to discuss the latest security issues,” Zamili added.
