Economy Committee attributes delay of endorsing 2013 federal budget to political disputes

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Abdul Abbas Shiya of the Parliamentary Economy Committee attributed the delay in endorsing the federal budget of 2013 to the political disputes among the political blocs.

Shiya stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The draft of the 2013 federal budget reached the Parliament early, and we extended the first legislative term for the third year in order to accelerate ratifying the federal budget, but unfortunately the extension period faced several problems, most notably the lack of political consensuse.”
