(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Tuesday, an informed source announced, that Iraq obtained a loan of 13 billion US dollars from the International Monetary Fund.

The source said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “Today, Iraq obtained a loan of 13 billion US dollars from the International Monetary Fund, with an interest rate of 1.5%.”

Noteworthy, Iraq is seeking to borrow from the International Monetary Fund to fill this year’s budget deficit that reached 25 trillion dinars, after the notable decline in oil prices.
