(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The Iraqi Ministry of Oil announced that crude oil exports in the first half of the year 2016 reached 592 million barrels and that 34 international companies purchased Iraqi crude oil.

A report issued by the Ministry of Oil stated that “The total oil exports in the first half of 2016 reached 592 million and 56 thousand barrels and the monthly export rate reached 98 million and 76 thousand barrels.”

The report added, “The returns of crude oil sales reached $17.7 billion US dollars.”

The report also indicated that 34 global and multinational companies have purchased Iraqi crude oil.
