Iraq to import 900 million liters of oil derivatives from Iran

Iranian Oil Silos(IraqiNews.com) On Thursday the Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC), Nasser Sajjadi, announced that Iran country signed a contract with Iraq to increase its exports of oil derivatives to Iraq.

Sajjadi said that “officials of the two countries had signed the final agreement in order to increase the volume of exports of these strategic petroleum products to Iraq.”

The Iranian official stressed that “when the contract comes into force, more than 900 million liters of petroleum products will be exported to Iraq annually through Iran’s oil tankers,” adding that ” through this agreement , we will increase the volume of the Iranian exports of oil products to 2.5 million liters per day.”

Sajjadi noted that “according to this contract, we will export diesel to Iraq in order to secure enough fuel for s Iraqi stations within one year,” without mentioning the value of the contract or its duration.
