(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Ministry of Transport announced on Monday that the General Establishment of Civil Aviation has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Syrian Directorate of Civil Aviation to increase flights between the two countries, indicating that those trips will reach 40 flights a week.

The ministry said in a statement posted on its website, and followed by IraqiNews.com, “Director General of the General Establishment of Civil Aviation Samer Kubba has signed today a memorandum of understanding with the Director General of Syrian Civil Aviation Mohamed Iyad Zidane requires increasing the number of flights between the two countries.”

“There will be 40 flights for travelers per week and 10 air cargo flights a week as well,” noting to “the importance of this step, which comes to deepen brotherly relations between the neighboring countries,” the ministry added.
