(IraqiNews.com) Al-Anbar – On Monday, Anbar Provincial Council has appealed to the federal government to protect the displaced families from ‘the gangs’ in the capital.

The president of the provincial council, Sabah Karhoot, stated in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The provincial council has appealed to Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi and his defense and interior ministers, Khaled al-Obeidi and Mohammed al-Ghabban, to provide protection and security for the displaced families from al-Anbar who have been resided in areas of Baghdad province.”

“The displaced people are being exposed to various types of incidents such as rubbery and theft crimes, in addition to receiving threats in different areas of the capital,” he added.
