Contractors demonstrate in Diwaniya

Diwaniya (IraqiNews.com) Dozens of contractors in Diwaniya province demonstrated on Wednesday demanding the local government to pay their funds acquired from implementing projects and stop increasing taxes.

Head of Contractors Union in Diwaniya Hassan Naeem stated to IraqiNews.com “The demonstration came to demand the local government to pay the late payments of the contractors which are late for several months and negatively affected their jobs and stopped many projects.”

Naeem objected the mechanism of paying the installments for the projects and negligence of the local government towards the contractors which negatively affected the economic situation in the province. /End/
