Shia militia volunteers prevent the entry of local officials to Tikrit, say MP

(IraqiNews.com) MP of Salahuddin province Badr al-Fahl confirmed on Wednesday that the Volunteer Fighters (al-Hashd al-Ha’bi) prevented the entry of local officials to the city of Tikrit.
Al-Fahl said in an interview for IraqiNews, “the Volunteer Fighters told the Vice Chairman of Salahuddin Council, Ismail Halob about preventing the entry of members of the provincial council to the city of Tikrit.”
Al-Fahl added that,”one of the council members wanted access to Tikrit, but she was prevented.”
