We will support Iraq to confront common threat ISIS poses, says Saudi King to Ebadi

(IraqiNews.com) On Friday, PM Haider al-Abadi pointed out to Iraq’s desire to strengthen its relations with Saudi Arabia and looked forward to bilateral cooperation between the two countries at various levels, while the Saudi Monarch Salman Bin Abdul Aziz confirmed his country’s support for Iraq in the face of the ISIS organization.

Abadi’s office said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi discussed, in a telephone conversation with the King of Saudi Arabia King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, the security and political situation in Iraq and the region and the threat posed by ISIS terrorist gangs.”

The office added, “Al-Abadi offered his condolences for the death of Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz,” adding that, “At the same time he hoped for reconciliation with the king Salman Bin Abdul Aziz being the new king of Saudi Arabia.”
