11 members of security forces killed, 15 injured in the explosion of 3 cars in Baiji

(IraqiNews.com) Salah Al-Dien – According to a security source in Salahuddin province, a number of people were killed and wounded in the explosion of three booby trapped cars targeted a joint security forces in the center of Baiji north of Tikrit.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com: “three car bombs exploded today in the Modern neighborhood in the center of Baiji (40 km north of Tikrit) targeted elements of the security forces and al-Hashed al-Sha’bi volunteers, killing 11 members and wounding 15 others.”
The source, who asked to remain anonymous, added: “the security force cordoned off the scene, while the bodies of the dead were transferred to the forensic medicine department and the wounded to the nearest hospital for treatment.”
