(IraqiNews.com) Kurdistan – The head of the Yazidi Affairs office in Kurdistan region, Khairi Bozana. announced on Friday freeing 12 kidnapped Yazidis, including women and children, from the grip of ISIS.

Bozana said in a brief statement received by IraqiNews.com, “12 kidnapped Yazidis, including women and children, were freed from the grip of ISIS,” explaining that, “The abductees were being held by ISIS in Iraq and Syria,” without giving details on the exact place of detention.

“The total number of the kidnapped Yazidi citizens who were freed from ISIS during the past few days amounted to 118 people,” he added.
