(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – MP Vian Dakhil said yesterday, that a 12-year-old Yazidi girl, who was held captive by ISIS, was able to escape from an ISIS prison after putting sleeping pills in her captors’ tea.

Dakhil said in a press statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “The girl was captured by the ISIS militants, along with her 17-year-old aunt, and held for nearly four months before they managed to escape.”

The Yazidi MP said that the young girl had asked the ISIS fighters for pills to help them sleep, but then she put them into the militants’ tea. As their captors slept, both women managed to escape to a nearby Kurdish-held territory.
