15 security forces elements killed, injured by two car bombs near Speicher Base

(IraqiNews.com) A security source in Salahuddin province stated on Wednesday, that 15 elements of the security forces have been killed and wounded in an explosion of two car bombs near Speicher Base north of Tikrit.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Two car bombs driven by a French and a Qatari suicide bombers exploded today, targeting a security forces gathering on the highway that links between Speicher Base and the University of Tikrit, which resulted in killing two security forces elements and wounding 13 others.”

The source, who preferred to remain anonymous, added, “The security force arrived at the scene and transported the injured by ambulances to a nearby hospital and the bodies of the dead to the Forensic Medicine Authority.”
