(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Monday, a source within the police force in Baghdad said, that two soldiers were injured in a bomb blast that targeted an army patrol in southern Baghdad.

The source informed IraqiNews.com, “A bomb that was emplaced on the side of a road in the area of al-Siyafiyah in al-Rashid District, has went off, targeting a patrol for the army forces in southern Baghdad,” noting that, “The explosion resulted in wounding two soldiers in the area.”

The source, who requested to remain anonymous, added, “A security force arrived in the area of the incident and transferred the injured to a near hospital for medical treatment.”
