24 ISIS militants killed, injured in US airstrike, southwest of Kirkuk

Kirkuk (IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, a security source stated that the US Air Force killed or injured 24 ISIS militants in an airstrike that targeted their positions in south west of Kirkuk.

The source said, “This morning, warplanes belong to the US Air Force conducted an airstrike against ISIS positions in south east of the province, and resulted in killing 9 militants and injuring no less than 15 others.”

“The airstrike was carried out based on intelligence information received earlier” He said.

Noteworthy, Kirkuk governorate is one the hot spots wherein violent and heavy clashes is currently occurring between the ISIS group and Iraqi army troops backed by tribal force.
