30 ISIS elements killed in clashes in southern Tikrit

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, a security source in Salahuddin province said, that the Iraqi security forces have killed 30 ISIS elements and liberated an area in southern Tikrit.

The source informed IraqiNews, “This evening, Iraqi security forces accompanied with armed volunteers from tribesmen carried out an offensive operation in east of al-Dajil district, located 120 km in south of Tikrit. The operation resulted in liberating Albu-Haswa area in al-Dajil and killing 30 ISIS militants in violent clashes.”

“Special units are now moving house-to-house searching for explosive devices,” the source added.
