 35 ISIS elements killed, injured in aerial bombing south of Kirkuk

(IraqiNews.com) Kirkuk – A security source in Kirkuk announced on Thursday, that 35 elements of ISIS were either killed or wounded, while a warehouse of weapons was destroyed by Iraqi warplanes south of the province.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNew.com, “The Iraqi warplanes attacked, this afternoon, ISIS sites in Bashir village of Taza Khurmatu (20 km south of Kirkuk), killing 25 militants and injuring 10 others,” noting that, “The aircrafts bombed weapons warehouse belonging to ISIS. ”

The source, who asked to remain anonymous, added: “Air strikes contributed to the destruction of a number of ISIS sites and defensive lines in the village, which is considered one of the most important strongholds controlled by the militants.”
