7 policemen killed, wounded in suicide bombing west of Ramadi

(IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, a security source in Anbar province announced, that 7 policemen had been killed and wounded in a suicide bombing targeted a mosque west of Ramadi.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “A suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt blew himself up today inside a mosque in Jaba village (90 km west of Ramadi), which resulted in killing 4 police officers assigned to protect the mosque and injuring 3 others. ”

The source, who asked not to be named, added, “Security force arrived at the scene and transported the injured to a nearby hospital and the bodies of the dead to the Forensic Medicine Department.”

On Tuesday, commander of Jazeera operations, Maj. Gen. Diaa Kazem Dabous announced finding an arms cache west of Ramadi, emphasizing that the security forces are advancing in Wafaa district and the surrounding areas.
