8 dead, 16 wounded among Iraqi tribal forces by ISIS in Tikrit.

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) A security source in Slaahuddin province stated on Wednesday, that 8 fighters belong to the Iraqi tribal force were killed and 16 others were injured during heavy clashes with ISIS militants in southern Tikrit.

The source said: “Heavy clashes in al-Ou’waynat area between the ISIS group and the armed clans wherein mortar shells were used by the ISIS militants, have resulted in 8 dead and 16 wounded among Iraqi tribal force.”

The source added, that the causalities of ISIS remain yet unknown.

Earlier in the same day, The president of Salahuddin Council Ahmed al-Karim said that, the ISIS group took over 50% of the governorate’s land.
