9 people killed and wounded in bomb blast east of Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi Interior Ministry announced on Thursday, that nine people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast east of Baghdad.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “A bomb exploded this morning near a popular market in al-Amin area east of Baghdad, resulting in the killing of one person and wounding eight others.”
The source, who asked anonymity, added: “the security forces rushed to the scene and transported the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment and the body of the dead man to the forensic medicine department, while a raid and search operation was carried out to search for the perpetrators of the bombing.”
