Abadi appoints Ismail Shihab Kamil as deputy commander of Anbar Operations

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Saturday, Prime Minister and the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces Haider al-Abadi has appointed Maj. Gen. Ismail Shihab Kamil as Deputy Commander of Anbar Operations and commander of the northern axis.
An informed source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces Haider Abadi issued the order to appoint Maj. Gen. Ismail Shihab Kamil as Deputy Commander of Anbar Operations and commander of the northern axis.”
It is noteworthy that the deputy commander of the Anbar Operations Maj. Gen. Abdul-Rahman Abu Raghif was killed on Thursday (27 August 2015) in the explosion of a car bomb driven by a suicide bomber north of the city of Ramadi.
