Abrams battalion kill 22 ISIS militants near Balad

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, a source in Salahuddin province stated that 22 ISIS elements have been killed in clashes with Abrams tanks’ battalion of the 34th Army Brigade near Balad district.

The source informed IraqiNews, “A force from Abrams tanks’ battalion of the 34th Army Brigade attacked a number of ISIS shelters in Said-Gharib, al-Rumailat, al-Tal al-Waqiya near Balad district, 80 km south of Tikrit.”

“The offensive operation resulted in killing 22 ISIS militants, destroying 6 shelters containing weapons and gear belonged to the group, burning 2 armored vehicles and removing 7 explosive mines.” said the source.
