Iraqi airstrike kills 20 IS members near Mosul

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) A security source in Nineveh Province revealed that 20 members of the Islamic State were killed by Iraqi air strike near the city of Mosul, Alsumaria News reported on Monday.
The source said, “Iraqi Air Force aircraft bombarded, at dawn today, one of the Islamic State’s headquarters inside residential buildings in western Mosul.”
“The aerial bombardment resulted in the killing of 20 members of the Islamic State group,” the source added on condition of anonymity.
The source further explained that the air strike was carried out based on accurate intelligence information.
Security forces are slowly advancing in the battles to liberate the western side of the city of Mosul, due to the presence of civilians in the axes of combat with the Islamic State group.
