Al-Hashed al-Shaabi controls al-Rashad area in Hawija District southwest of Kirkuk

(IraqiNews.com) Diyala – On Sunday, al-Hashed al-Shaabi Authority in Diyala province announced that al-Hashed al-Shaabi fighters have controlled al-Rashad area in Hawija southwest of Kirkuk, stressing the continuity of the operations in the district from three axes.
The chief of al-Hashed al-Shaabi Authority and head of the security committee in Diyala provincial council, Sadiq al-Husseini, said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The security forces from the army and federal police backed by al-Hashed al-Shaabi attacked ISIS in Hawija from three axes.”
Al-Husseini added: “formations of al-Hashed al-Shaabi, including Badr Organization, and the security forces were able to control Rashad area from the axis of Alas and Ajil,” noting that “the joint forces killed 30 ISIS elements.”
