Armed attack on north of Kirkuk, police officer killed

Kirkuk (IraqiNews.com) A security source in Kirkuk Province informed that a police officer was killed in an armed attack, north of the province, Alsumaria News reported on Wednesday.
The source said, “This morning, an armed group shot a vehicle, driven by a police officer, while passing in the area of Arafa Street, north of Kirkuk, killing the officer immediately.”
“The officer was responsible for books transfer between Kirkuk Police Directorate and the Ministry of Interior,” the source added on condition of anonymity.
Noteworthy, Kirkuk Province is witnessing semi-continuous acts of violence and attacks, while security forces arrest several suspects and members of the Islamic State.
