Army forces kill 8 terrorists, arrest wanted individuals in western Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, a source within Baghdad Operations Command said, that 8 terrorists have been killed and a number of wanted individuals were detained in a security operation in western Baghdad.

The source told IraqiNews, “A force from the 1st battalion of the 24th Brigade has managed to destroy an armored vehicle and kill a terrorist in al-Shurtan area of western Baghdad,” adding that, “Iraqi troops of the 53rd Brigade have also managed to kill 7 terrorists and destroy an armored vehicle that belonged to them in the area of Albu-Elwan.”

“The security forces detained a number of wanted individuals during the past 24 hours,” the statement added.
