Belgian fighter planes fly over Baghdad for the first time

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Local news reports indicated that Belgian fighter jets flew over Baghdad for the first time.

The reports said that “Belgian F 16 fighter jets flew in Iraqi airspace near the capital Baghdad on a reconnaissance mission and returned to their base in Jordan.”

Last week, Belgium had sent six F-16 fighter jets to an air base in Jordan as a part of the International Alliance led by the United States against the so-called the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
