 Bomb blast kills, wounds 8 people southeast of Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Ministry of Interior announced on Monday, that eight people had been either killed or wounded in a bomb blast southeast of Baghdad.

The source said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “An improvised explosive device exploded, at noon today, near al-Riyad popular market in Diyala Bridge area southeast of Baghdad, killing two people and injuring six others.”

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, added, “A security force rushed to the incident area and evacuated the wounded to a nearby hospital and the dead bodies to the forensic medicine department.”
