(IraqiNews.com) Diyala – A local source in Diyala Province said on Sunday, that two soldiers had been injured in a bomb blast that targeted an army patrol northeast of Baqubah.

According to information shared by the source, “Today, two soldiers were wounded, one of whom is in critical condition, following a bomb blast that targeted an army patrol on the agricultural road near the village of Shaikhi (24 km northeast of Baqubah),” adding that, “The army detachments began combing the areas in Shaikhi and neighboring Makhisa after monitoring the movement of armed elements hiding inside it.”
