Coalition strike kills 22 ISIS militants in southern Kirkuk

Kirkuk (IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, a security source in Daquq district revealed, that 22 ISIS elements have been killed in an air strike by the international coalition in southern Kirkuk.

Lieutenant Colonel Boula Ahmed stated to IraqiNews, “This afternoon, warplanes of the international coalition conducted an air strike on ISIS sites in the villages of Daquq, located 35 km southern Kirkuk,” noting that, “The air strike resulted in killing 22 ISIS militants and wounding dozens of others, in addition to destroying 6 armored vehicles that belonged to the group.”

“The operation has come after receiving an accurate information that indicated that the group is massing its forces at the outskirts of the district of Daquq,” the source added.
