Tens of ISIS militants killed, injured in airstrike in south of Tikrit

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Monday, a source in Samarra Operations Command stated that, dozens of ISIS militants have been killed in an air strike by IAF on ISIS targets in southern Tikrit.

The source informed IraqiNews, “This evening, Iraqi warplanes conducted an air strike against ISIS targets in al-Sa’ubiya area in southeast of Samarra, located 40 km south of Tikrit. The air strike resulted in killing and injuring dozens of ISIS militants as well as destroying 3 armored vehicles which belonged to the group.”

Noteworthy, violent clashes between Iraqi forces and ISIS militants take place within the ISIS-seized territories in the province. Iraqi forces and volunteers are continuously carrying offensive operations to liberate the occupied areas.
