Former army officer killed in southern Mosul

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) An army officer was killed due to an armed attack in southern Mosul.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com on Monday ”Unidentified gunmen attacked an officer of the former army using machine guns, killing him immediately, while he was in the garden of his house in Namrowd area of southern Mosul.”

The source added “The gunmen managed to flee after the attack.”

The source pointed out ”The police forces cordoned the incident area and transported the dead body of the victim to the morgue.” \
