French air strikes kill, wound 40 ISIS militants in Kirkuk

Kirkuk (IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, a security source in Kirkuk province said, that 40 ISIS militants have been killed and injured in air strikes conducted by French Air Force in southwest of Kirkuk city.

The source said, “French Air Force conducted air strikes against ISIS shelters in the areas of al-Riyad and al-Rashad, located 55 km southwest of Kirkuk. The operation resulted in killing and injuring around 40 ISIS militants in both areas.”

Noteworthy, French Chief of the Defense Staff Pierre de Villiers has previously said, that France’s airstrikes had completely destroyed 12 ISIS weapon facilities.
