Gunmen steal $80,000 from currency exchange office in Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) On Saturday, a source in the Iraqi police announced that an armed group stole $80,000 dollars from a currency exchange office in central Baghdad.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “This morning, some unknown gunmen burgled a currency exchange office near Jadiriya hospital in central Baghdad, stealing $80,000 at gunpoint.”

The source, who requested anonymity, added, “Security force arrived at the scene immediately after the incident was reported. Investigations are now ongoing to find the perpetrators.”
