IED explodes in southern Tikrit

Salah-il-Din (IraqiNews.com) An Improvised Explosive Device went off in southern Tikrit on late night on last Thursday.

Security source stated to IraqiNews.com “The IED exploded in Dor district of southern Tikrit targeting an Iraqi Army patrol,” noting that “The explosion resulted in killing two soldiers and injuring three others.”

“A security force hurried to the explosion site and transferred the dead to the morgue and the injured to the hospital for treatment,” the source concluded.
