Interior Ministry announces seizing 3 banking companies linked with ISIS

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The Financial and Economic Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Interior announced on Monday the seizure of three banking companies that were transferring funds to the ISIS-controlled areas in the provinces of Baghdad and Kirkuk.
The department said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com that it “seized three banking companies that were making financial transfers to areas controlled by the ISIS in Kirkuk and Baghdad,” noting that, “The seizure of those companies was made in coordination with the Central Bank of Iraq,” referring to “taking legal actions against these companies.”
