Iraqi army kills 36 ISIS elements in clashes west of al-Dajil

(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – On Tuesday, a security source in Salahuddin province said, that the security forces managed to kill 36 ISIS elements in clashes west of al-Dajil District.
The source told IraqiNews.com, “A force from the army’s 9th brigade backed by Abrams tanks managed to kill 36 ISIS militants in the area between al-Faraniyah and al-Nabai, located west of al-Dajil District,” adding that, “The force managed to burn 4 Humvee vehicles for the militants.”
Noteworthy, Iraqi joint forces backed by regiments of al-Hashed al-Sha’bi militia have launched today an extensive military operation to liberate the western areas of Salahuddin province.
