Iraqi elite forces storms ISIS headquarters in Salahuddin

(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – Federal Police Command announced the death of six members belonging to the organization of the Islamic state in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in a “qualitative” attack carried out by fighters of the “elite forces” east of Tikrit in Salahuddin province.
The Federal Police Chief, Raed Shakir Jawdat said that, “40 fighters from the federal elite forces have carried out a qualitative attack on four barracks belonging to ISIS organization in Ajil fields, using 7 RPG rockets anti-personnel and armors, as well as offensive and defensive grenades.”
Shaker added,”The attack resulted the killing of six extremists, in addition to seizing the barracks, including equipment and materiel left behind ISIS, after the defection of its elements”, while anti-terrorism device announced imposing its control on the main tunnels of Baij Railway north of Tikrit.
