Iraqi Forces foil attack on Baiji’s oil refinery in north of Tikrit

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) A source in Salahuddin province informed IraqiNews, that the security forces in the governorate managed to foil an attempt to take over Baiji’s Oil Refinery in north of Tikrit.

The source stated for IraqiNews that, “A number of ISIS militants attacked Baiji by suicide bombings and tens of mortar shells that targeted the oil refinery, added that the heavy clashes resulted in tens of dead and wounded among the ISIS militants, but serious damage has occurred to the refinery.”
