ISF continue efforts to liberate Beiji district

Salah-il-Din (IraqiNews.com) Security official assured that “The security forces achieved a noticeable progress in Beiji district of northern Tikrit and advance towards Beiji refinery in the district.”

The source told IraqiNews.com “The security forces controlled Asri neighborhood in Beiji which is considered the most dangerous shelter for the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant in the district after liberating the Industrial neighborhood.”

“Heavy armed erupted between the security forces which stormed into the neighborhood and the ISIL elements,” the source added, noting that “Clashes resulted in killing 50 terrorists.”

“Asri neighborhood is four km only from Beiji refinery,” according to the source.

The source assured “Controlling Asri neighborhood will participate in securing Beiji refinery and eliminate ISIL elements from northern Tikrit areas since the neighborhood enjoys strategic location.” /End/
