ISIS detaines 15 North Oil Company employees southwest of Kirkuk

(IraqiNews.com) On Friday, a security source in Kirkuk announced, that the ISIS organization has detained 15 employees working for the North Oil Company southwest of the province.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Today, ISIS militants detained 15 employees in Khabbaz oil field station located in Mullah Abdullah area (30 km southwest of Kirkuk),” noting that, “They are North Oil Company employees who could not leave their posts because of the armed clashes that took place between elements of the ISIS organization and the Kurdish Peshmerga forces.”

The source, who requested anonymity, added, “The employees are being held in the station vault,” adding that, “The detention took place after the ISIS elements broke into the station and detained its workers.”
