(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – The armed wing of Kurdistan Workers’ Party announced on Sunday, that 22 members of the so-called ISIS were killed in Sinjar area, while pointed out that the security forces seized the militants’ weapons.

The armed wing of Kurdistan Workers’ Party said in a press statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “Fierce battles took place between PKK troops and ISIS militants in Shlo area in Sinjar District,” pointing out that, “The confrontations resulted in the killing of 22 ISIS fighters.”

The statement added, “Large quantity of weapons had been seized from ISIS fighters,” indicating that, “Five fighters of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party were killed during the confrontations.”
