At least 28 casualties in bomb blast central Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, a source within the police force stated, that at least 7 people have been killed and 21 others were injured in an explosion that took place in a public market in central Baghdad.

The source informed IraqiNews, “A bomb that was emplaced near a public restaurant in the market of Harj, located in central Baghdad, has went off this morning, causing at least 7 deaths and 21 injuries among civilians in the area.”

“Security forces shortly blockaded the area, while ambulances transferred the dead bodies to the Forensic Medicine Authority and carried the injured ones to a near hospital for medical treatment,” the source added.
