MoD: Netherlands to send six F-16 aricrafts, 400 troops to Iraq

(IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced Wednesday, that the Dutch government plans to send at least six F-16 warplanes and 400 military personnel to Iraq.

The ministry said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews, “The Dutch government plans to send at least six F-16 warplanes and 400 military personnel to strike ISIS targets in Iraq and help the Iraqi security forces in the fight against the ISIS group militants.”

“The security forces were left with too many tasks and duties in the liberated areas. They need assistance in order to take care of displaced families returning back to the region, offering services, and stabilizing the areas,” the statement also added.
