We now control 3 cities and 75 villages in northen Mosul says Peshmerga

(IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, Peshmerga forces announced they managed to restore a large part of the northern regions of Mosul, that includes 3 cities and 75 villages as well as several residential areas.

The Commander of the Peshmerga forces, Jabbar Yawar said in an interview quoted by the Anatolia news agency, and followed by IraqiNews.com, “We were able to restore a large part of the northern regions of Mosul, including 3 cities and 75 villages, in addition to several residential areas.”

Yawar added, “Not only do coalition forces carry out air strikes to target ISIS, but they also train the Iraqi army and Peshmerga forces, and supply them with weapons,” noting that the Peshmerga forces managed to restore many areas with the help of friends and ongoing operations to gain back the remaining areas.
