Pentagon: ISIS has fighting force able to cause great destruction

(IraqiNew.com) Baghdad – The US Department of Defense, “Pentagon” considered on Tuesday, that ISIS  has a “fighting force” able to make a “great destruction” like the one occurred in the Syrian town of Kobani, describing the war against it as “difficult,” while expected to continue for years until its expulsion from Iraq.

Pentagon spokesman, Col. Steve Warren said: “After a year of declaring ISIS succession on land held by Iraq and Syria, the ISIS is facing a military pressure from the coalition led by US, but it is still a powerful force, which controls major cities. ”

“The militant group has lost a quarter of land and fled from several locations in northern Syria because of attacks led by the Kurdish forces,” Warren added.

Warren pointed out that “ISIS elements still control the Mosul in Iraq, where their leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi appeared in July to head the new the Caliphate.”
