Pentagon: U.S. troops under frequent ISIS attacks in al-Asad base

(IraqiNews.com) The Pentagon spokesman said that U.S. troops are coming under frequent attack by ISIS fighters in the surrounding areas of Ain al-Asad base, according to a report by CNN.

The Pentagon spokesman Col. Steven Warren said, “It is fair to say that al-Asad base is going under regular harassment fires,” but he also asserted that the ISIS attacks are “completely ineffective.”

Warren has noted that no U.S. personnel or U.S. equipment have come under direct fire at the base.
