6 persons killed, injured northern Tikrit

Salah il-Din (IraqiNews.com) Two workers were killed and four others injured due to an explosion of some Improvised Explosive Devices in an under construction water project of northern Tikrit.

A security source stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Some armed groups targeted an under construction water project by 11 IEDs in Shurqat district of northern Tikrit city, resulting in killing two of the workers and inuring four others in addition to causing huge material damages to the project.”

“The security forces seized the explosion area and transferred the injures to the hospital for treatment and the dead bodies to the morgue,” the source concluded.
